彌勒佛又叫未來佛， 象徵著開心快樂、樂觀美 好，廖洪標塑造這件作品 最大特點就是追求開心， 就是做一個好象笑咪咪的 對著你的作品。作品塑造 一個開心佛的形象，一手 拿著念珠一手挑著一根系 有百寶袋的樹桿笑眯眯的 向你走來，使人一看到就 會忘卻憂愁。作品寄予了 一種開心歡樂、樂觀美 好、光明幸福、代代平安 的意願。
Maitreya Buddha is also called Future Buddha and is the symbol of happiness, optimism and goodliness. What Liao Hongbiao wants to express most in this work is the pursuit of happiness and he has set the target of creating a piece with a face always smiling to the viewer. Maitreya Buddha holds his prayer beads in one hand and a tree branch tied to a baibaodai (literally a bag of a hundred treasures) in the other, and walks towards the viewer with a smile on his face. On watching him, one is immediately oblivious of his own worries. The piece is a wonderful expression of the wish for joy, optimism, brightness and safety for all generations.
