The piece depicts the fun of fishing, via which the fisherman’s joy at the moment of catching the fish is expressed in details. The image of a simple fisherman highlights the satisfaction gained from the harvest of a big carp. Rugged lines of the drapery are depicted in a freehand manner while the figure’s muscles and bone are expressed with great details. The two different effects reinforce the vitality and joy. The piece focuses on the realistic depiction of the fisherman’s body and muscles and his movements involved in his fishing activity.
