竹林七賢是指魏末晉初的七位名士：山濤、阮籍、劉伶、嵇康、向秀、阮咸、王戎。活動區域在當時的山陽縣，今河南輝縣西北一帶。

 

The Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove refer to the seven famous men in the late Wei and early Jin dynasties: Shan Tao, Ruan Ji, Liu Ling, Ji Kang, Xiang Xiu, Ruan Xian, and Wang Rong. The active area was in Shanyang County at the time, and now in the northwestern area of Hui County, Henan Province.
