道教中太極的北天為紫微大帝所掌， 予降褔消災， 兼賜予財富。此外， 他又名天官或賜福紫微帝君。這題材在雕塑表現形像多為左手執持法螺， 右手高舉紫微正照大印。

Emperor Ziwei governs the North Pole, symbolizing the granting of fortune and the conquering of bad luck. Among the Three Great Officials of Daoism , Ziwei is also known as the Heavenly Official. When depicted in sculptural form , Ziwei is often holding a conch in his left hand while raising the seal with inscription of “ Ziwei zhengzhao" with his right hand.
