The artist used the “hair carving” method which is known as the invention of master Huang Bing in late Qing. Traditionally, birds with graphite glaze application and white glazed dots on the feathers are named “pearl eagles”. The bird’s eyes are looking for prey, its left claw steps on the rock and supports the body while balancing with its right claw. The spread out wings infuse the ceramic with great vivacity.
