故事梗概

三國時期，劉備得徐庶，打敗曹操。曹操料想劉備有能人相助。多方探聽，知他新得一個謀士叫單福，謀略很大。就想用計將單福賺來，收為己用，於是和程昱商量如何用計。程昱知道單福是徐庶的化名，又知道他的母親現在潁州。所以程昱就獻一計，教曹操先將徐母賺到許昌，教她寫信去招徐庶。以為徐庶極孝，接到母親書信，必定前來。曹操一聽此計大妙，就教人趕到潁州，說是徐庶已在許昌，特來請老母前去。徐母一到許昌，不見徐庶，知中奸計。及至曹操請她寫信去招徐庶，她就大罵曹操奸惡不臣；劉備乃帝室宗親，兒子在那裡輔助他，正是臣得其主，怎肯轉來事你奸臣？罵完之後，拿起硯臺，向曹操打來。本想激怒曹操，把自己殺死，反可以教兒子一心一意輔助劉備。曹操被罵，果然大怒，就要殺她。程昱在旁勸止，將徐母軟禁起來，假冒她的字跡，寫了一封假信，將徐庶賺來。後來徐母見兒子被賺而來，深深責駡兒子不明，自己到後面，自盡而死。(摘自百度)
