瓦頭配古樹是過去祝賀禮儀的擺設，如同當今之花藍一類，花木店備好一批裁剪成人形的古樹，顧客可選題材，如八仙，劉關張，花木店按要求配上陶塑頭、手、靴，再加上道具兵器，送至現場，事後回收。

 

“Ceramic Head on Old Tree” was designed for decorations in ceremony etiquette. Live trees would be trimmed into the shape of the trunk of the human body. Customers could specify the subject and the ceramic heads and parts to decorate the tree. Common subjects would include the eight immortals and Liu-Kwan-Cheung in the story of “Three Kingdoms.” The trees would then be sent to the venue for the event and then returned at the end.
